MATERIALS

Shave Cream

Glue

Liquid Watercolors

Loose Parts (straws, beads, pompoms, buttons, wood bits)

Cereal Box (with a side cut off)

Mixing the shave cream, glue and liquid watercolors.

This was a child led activity, as my boys found these boxes and decided they wanted to make tv's out of them.  We then discussed what materials would be good for this and of course, they love shave cream, so that was the winner.  

1) Mix Shave cream with some glue and liquid watercolor (or food coloring) to add color.

2) Add this mix to the open part of the box with a spatula.

3) Present them with as many options of loose parts as you wish and invite them to start placing them as they wish on top of the shave cream.

This is the North Pole.

Easy Peasy, and so much fun! They worked on this for almost an hour!  When I asked them what was going on inside their tv's they said it was a movie of the North Pole...go figure! This creative thinkers I have never stop surprising me...
